Project Abstract In this study, a new tool is proposed for use in the management of River Basin Districts as required by the Water Framework Directive. The tool will be primarily used to predict the impact of management scenarios on water quality and quantity variables. It will be built on an ArcGIS framework and it will incorporate the-state-of-the-art Neuro-fuzzy systems as a time series model. Moreover, an Auto-Regressive-Moving-Average model will be added to allow of using the tool in a forecasting mode when future data becomes available. Finally, a GIS module for processing input/output data will be written to enable identification of spatial and temporal patterns.
