Project Abstract Erosion and runoff have not only on-site effects, mainly soil degradation, but also off-site effects such as eutrophication of watercourses and lakes, and property damage by flooding. To avoid environmental impact of erosion the links between science and land users should be strengthen. The main objective of the Action is to develop an integrated understanding of on- and off-site impacts of soil erosion at the catchment scale in close cooperation with land management authorities. This Action is a follow up of former Action 623 which investigated soil erosion effects.
