I am a research fellow in the Socio-Economic Marine Research Unit (SEMRU) at NUI Galway. My areas of interest include the direct and indirect valuation of Ireland\'s ocean economy, the regional socio-economic analysis of coastal areas, the economic multiplier analysis of Ireland\'s marine policy; the effect of transport infrastructure on regional development, the assessment of the sustainability of transport systems and the analysis of transport demand and travel mode choice. I have experience in the development of socio-economic indicators for sustainability and accessibility in a transportation context. also, I am carrying out research in the area of maritime freight transport demand analysis and inter-modal connectivity and accessibility models for maritime freight transport.
