Met Eireann monitors, analyses and predicts Ireland\\\'s weather and climate. We provide a range of high quality meteorological and related information to our customers. Specifically, we have skills in the design and operational running of numerical weather models through our partnership with the HIRLAM international consortium (http://www.hirlam.org). We have considerable expertise in monitoring the Irish climate as we maintain an extensive observational network in Ireland and in Irish coastal waters. We run regional and global climate simulations (the latter through our partnership in EC-Earth (http://ecearth.knmi.nl)), providing authoritative advice on climate change. We provided global model data simulations to CMIP5 in support of IPCC AR5. Met Eireann has an extensive environmental monitoring program, focused on air quality. Met Eireann is a Member State of ECMWF and is a member of EUMETNET. It represents Ireland at WMO.
