Moving towards Reliable Decadal Climate Predictions
I provided research and development of regional coupled ocean-atmosphere climate change models that include oceanic biogeochemical cycles and atmospheric composition during my postdoctoral contract at National University of Ireland Galway. The project was funded by the Higher Education Authority. I worked closely with the NUIG Centre for Climate & Air Pollution Studies and Max-Planck Institute for Meteorology in Germany on research leading to integration of the atmospheric and ocean models. This research resulted in two papers in the Continental Shelf Research - a high impact factor journal in the field, and one paper in the proceedings from the 34th World Congress of the International Association for Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research.

Maintaining Ecosystem Sustainability
Development of the European Atlantic Water Quality Forecasting System for sustainable management and protection of the resources of marine spaces. Development of the models for aquaculture for use in assessing the impacts on the ecosystem functioning, carrying capacity and vulnerability to fecal bacteria contamination.
2010 - 2012: Work Package leader in EASYCO, funded under the Interreg IV Atlantic Area Programme
