Organisation or Individual Expertise:
I seek to understand the fundamental drivers of animal and plant population processes in a rapidly changing world. I use these discoveries to provide practical solutions in the areas of biodiversity conservation, invasive species management and habitat restoration. I use a wide range of tools and approaches that combine data collection in the lab, field or from the literature with quantitative modelling techniques that enable analysis and prediction of responses of populations and ecosystems to underlying drivers and manipulations. I am a global leader in comparative plant population dynamics and invasive plant management and emerging as a leader in predicting responses of populations to climate change.
