Tadhg Coakley has over 20 years experience in leading and carrying out research for several major national and international environmental consultancy and research projects, for many clients. He has researched extensively on environmental topics and is the author of several reports, papers, factsheets and presentations on those subjects. He is a leading expert on Irish waste issues, especially relating to policy. He is the main author of a forthcoming Irish study on waste prevention and resource efficiency: Roadmap for a National Resource Efficiency Plan for Ireland (2011-WRM-DS-03). He also has significant experience in web management and information provision and has designed and managed several websites, content management systems and eLearning platforms on behalf of CTC. Clean Technology Centre (CTC) at Cork Institute of Technology (CIT)( has been promoting sustainability since 1992. CTC is a not for profit organisation based in CIT comprising 12 people, many of whom are leading experts in their fields. CTC is a research and consultancy organisation, providing advice and assistance to large scale industry, SMEs, local government staff, Government Agencies, and students. CTC is currently implementing major programmes in Ireland such as Green Business Programme, Local Authority Prevention Network, Green Hospitality, Stop Food Waste, Green Healthcare. CTC is considered a leading light in the field of resource efficiency and related matters.
