Jeremy Hayes is a lecturer and researcher in the Department of Accounting, Finance and Information Systems in University College Cork since 2001. His research interests are in the area of Business Models and Innovation Management. His research is published in leading international journals and conferences, including Information Systems Research (ISR), Journal of Strategic Information Systems (JSIS), European Journal of Operational Research (EJOR), Journal of Database Management (JDM), Journal of Information Technology and People (IT&P), Information Resources Management Journal (IRMJ), the European Conference on Information Systems (ECIS), and working conferences of the International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP). Jeremy has worked on business model innovation for research projects such as the FP6 CALIBRE project (Co-ordination Action for LIBRE software engineering for open development platforms for software and services) and the IRCHSS O3C Project (Open Code, Open Content and Open Commerce) and the "Innovative Business Models for the International Energy Sector" scoping project for the International Energy Research Centre (IERC). Through training, workshops and consultancy projects, Jeremy has worked with client firms to help them innovate their business models. Organisations he has worked with include; BT, the Bank of Ireland Business Accelerator Programme, PepsiCo International, Trend Micro, EMIT Solutions, CloudCompare, IT@Cork, Big Red Cloud, Portable Medical Technologies, CSME Engineering, Aerospace Valley Toulouse,, the International Energy Research Centre, the Greenshoots Entrepreneurship Programme, and the EU-funded APSAT (Actions Publique Technologies Satellitaires et Development Durable) project Jeremy lectures on Business Model Innovation in the Irish Management Institute (Ireland’s only internationally ranked provider of Executive Education). He is currently developing an online course in Cloud Computing Innovation for the European Institute of Management Practice.
