Organisation or Individual Expertise:
Plant scientists with strong research track record (h=30; 95 publications; 4000 citations). Dr Jansen’s research group operates on the interface between basic and applied plant sciences focusing mainly on plant stress physiology and plant ecotoxicology. Toxicological projects focus on the ecotoxicology of metals, nanoparticles and wood ash, including the trophic mobility of toxicological effects. There is a strong focus on the aquatic environment, including aquatic toxicology and invasive alien macrophytes. The group has worked for many years on various aspects of duckweed (Lemnaceae) biology, including their use as food stuffs, in toxicological testing, as invasive species and for phytoremediation.
