This UN Sustainable Development Goals Research Call 2017 is relevant to all three Research Pillars: Climate, Water and Sustainability and includes two topics: 



  • Sustainability 2017 Call - UN SDG Project 1: Delivering on the Environmental Sustainable Development Goals.  This is a 15 to 18 month integrated Medium-Scale Research Project, with an indicative budget of up to €250,000.


  • Sustainability 2017 Call - UN SDG Project 2: Addressing the UN Sustainable Development Goals in an Irish Context (Open Topic). The EPA invites research proposals which develop innovative approaches towards achieving the environmental (including environmental economic and socio-environmental) UN SDGs in an Irish context. The proposed research must address national issues but in the broader context provided by the UN SDGs - a variation on the theme of think global act local. This call is open for proposals for Desk Studies or Medium-Scale projects, with a budget of up to €250,000 per project.
