| Project Abstract | Reduced water consumption (40%) with a corresponding reduction in effluent load. Reduce electricity consumption by 167,000KWh/annum. Achieve significant cost efficiencies in relation energy & water savings - electricity supplier that costs are to rise by 30% in October 2008. This project will be readily transferable in Irish industries using hot water vats for production processes which contain organic contaminants that prove difficult to recycle due to quality constraints.OLM will hold information dissemination workshops for relevant stakeholders and interested parties to inform and raise awareness of the environmental and cost benefits associated with the project. |
