Project Abstract | This research seeks to provide a better understanding of Ireland's poorly productive aquifers and to evaluate the impact of human behaviour on groundwater and how this affects the wider environment. Monitoring wells have been installed to study areas such as the Glencastle River Catchment (Co. Mayo), the Gortinlieve catchment (Co. Donegal), the Mattock catchment (Co. Louth) and at Oughterard (Co. Galway). |
